What I want you to do is look at how your parent’s or grandparent’s or great-great grandparent’s or some distant family heritage has synchronized with New York City or USA culture.
Look at these categories: food, objects, music, art, dance, language, (Many adopted Spanish words are food terms we use right here in the Upper Westside, such as tamale, taco, salsa, cilantro, guacamole, enchilada, oregano, and burrito.) Other common words with Spanish origins: Booby: bobo, silly or selfish, from the Latin for stammering, balbus; Renegade: renegado, deserter or outlaw. Approximately 40% of English vocabulary is of French origins (Wikipedia – would I lie?). You need to write on at least three if not more of these categories: food, objects, music, art, dance, language. Include at least one image that illustrates your tale.
What else did your heritage bring to this country? For example, my parents are from the North Pole and we brought you materialistic Christmas with toys and themes of outrageous materialistic stuff made in China, Formosa, Australia, Panama and so on and so forth or any other you can think of.

Be sure to put your work in your own page - also I monitor all responses and all times you are online so stick only to your page.
